Dan is definitely at the top of his game which is far from his humble beginnings. While being born in Hong Kong, at the age of 14, Dan and his family moved to Canada with the hopes of starting a new life. As a young teenager he experienced culture shock when his dad went bankrupt and stayed in Hong Kong while he and his mother moved into a small one-bedroom apartment in Canada; barely getting by. His father was not able to send money for support leaving Dan’s mother, who had a limited skill, to bring in the money. Dan started his first and only 9-5 job at 16 bagging grocery, entered college, and dropped out when he took a formal mentorship with Alan Jacques in copywriting vowing to be successful and take care of both of his parents.
Dan failed at 13 ventures before he finally experienced success. Dan admits that if he could change anything about his past he would not have started all of those foolish business endeavors that ultimately ended in failure. He blames desperation for the doomed business ventures that drained his resources, wasted his time, and hijacked his focus.
In the 2000s, Dan took a deep dive into the internet-marketing industry and accrued substantial profits from his internet & technology businesses. By age 27, he became a self-made millionaire. Shortly after, an 8-figure entrepreneur.
Today, Dan is the founder of the High-Ticket Closer™ Certification Program – a global movement of men and women from over 127+ countries who help businesses close high-ticket offers. Together, he and his High-Ticket Closers™ have closed tens of millions of dollars in sales across dozens of industries.
Outside of his High-Ticket Closers™ community, Dan is seen by many as a thought-leader in the personal development / business world. His YouTube channel is one of the top channels in the business category with hundreds of videos with more than over 60 million total views. He has a large following with over 3.5 million+ fans across his social media fan pages – growing by thousands every day – and has been featured on 100+ podcasts.
From the age of 14, Dan grew up watching Bruce Lee movies and started training in martial arts, boxing, and kickboxing. However, Dan eventually stopped training in the above so that he can focus on what was really important for him; Wing Chun and Jeet Kune Do, both of which was influenced by the philosophy of martial artist Bruce Lee.
Dan has had the privilege of training with Ted Wong, who was Bruce Lee’s last private student.
Dan strongly believes that martial arts isn’t simply techniques of winning a fight but is driven by a deep philosophy of achieving fulfillment and self-actualization. For Dan, martial arts are an intrinsic part of personal development, a philosophy that underpins everything he stands for.
Dan is a loving husband to his wife, Jennie Li. Jennie is Dan’s soul mate, business partner, and best friend. They work together, travel together, and have fun together. Jennie not only “runs the house” but also helps Dan runs his business empire – especially when it comes to doing business deals with partners and clients from Mainland China.
Being from China for most her life, Jennie understands the psychology and business dynamics of the Chinese market better than anyone. Dan is also a loving son to his mother and calls her at least multiple times a week to converse.
