Do you feel lost or empty, as though you no longer have passion for what you do and are searching for something that would make you feel alive again? Chances are you’re suffering from work exhaustion.
Someone that is suffering from work exhaustion may sound like this:
“Hey Jim, could you pass me that stapler?”
Jim: [inaudible grunts, continues staring blankly at their screen]
“Uhh… Jim did you hear me?”
Jim: [starts drooling]
Work exhaustion happens to employees who are tired of their jobs. They lose the drive and motivation they had when they first started. Instead of living every day with purpose, they go through their routine on autopilot, lack of any enthusiasm or emotion. A popular term for this condition is known as being a “corporate zombie”.
When Your Job Eats Your Soul
If you’ve ever felt like you lost your purpose while at work only to suddenly have it return once you’ve gone home or taken a vacation, chances are you’re suffering from work exhaustion.Your job is boring and you’ve lost any kind of motivation to continue doing your work. But the instant you are no longer doing that work, you feel reinvigorated, because you are no longer in the same environment.
If you follow my work you may recognize the term The Law of Environmental Exposure. This law states that your behaviors, thoughts and emotions, are affected by what is around you. If you are around negative people most of the time, chances are you will also become a negative person. If you are around positive people, you will be happier and more joyful as well.
This law also applies to places such as your work environment. If you find yourself feeling lost, bored or tired at your workplace, but instantly feel energized once you leave that environment, you have to realize your environment is what’s causing you to feel that particular way. If you want to change the way you feel, and regain back your sense of purpose, you need to change your environment.
The Inevitable Midlife Work Crisis
Anyone who has been working at a job for too long will tell you they experience a midlife work crisis. It’s when you ask yourself questions such as “Why am I doing this?” or “Isn’t there something I was born to do?”
For those in a midlife crisis while suffering from work exhaustion, it can be very frustrating. Different genders respond and behave differently while under a midlife crisis. Men are more likely to judge themselves by a need to prove something – such as how well they are performing at their job, as an indicator of how much worth they have. Women judge themselves based on their relationships with other people, such as their coworkers or their family.
Both genders often reevaluate their life choices, priorities and goals during a midlife crisis. They begin to ask themselves the tough questions, and have doubts about where they currently are in life. Some may be fed up with their current situation, and opt to do something that gives them a sense of fulfillment or achievement, while they still have time.
You Have Bills To Pay, You Can’t Afford To Become A Rockstar
I personally believe that is no way to live. To work the rest of your life away at something that doesn’t provide you with a feeling of fulfillment, just so you can pay the bills. We are humans on this Earth with a limited amount of time. And to spend that time being forced to do something you don’t even want to do is a waste of potential.
Most people think that money is the most important thing in life. To me, time is the most important thing, because you can never get it back. If you lose money, you can always find a way to make more. But time is something you will never be able to obtain more of. The time you have spent reading this article, is time you will never get back.
If you feel like your time could be better spent on something greater than being confined to an environment that drains you, makes you lose your sense of purpose and leave you feeling exhausted, then keep reading.
Easy Money Exists – Here’s How
Ask yourself, do you know anyone who makes more money than other people, even though it looks like they’re doing nothing? You know what I mean – they always have a smile on their face, haven’t looked like they’ve worked a day in their life and occasionally tell you wild stories of what they’ve been up to.
Meanwhile, you’re exhausted from a long day, thinking about how to prepare for tomorrow, and always in a rush to get everything done. “How do they do it”, you may wonder. The secret isn’t because they were born into a rich family, or they won the lottery, or are secretly broke….
It’s because the work they do is not work to them. If you are passionate about what you are doing, if it fills you with a sense of purpose and passion, what you do will never feel like work. Instead, it will be fun, exciting, and fill you with joy.
Are you doing what you do simply for money, or are you doing it for a greater reason?
Do What You Love And The Money Will Follow?
There’s a lot of conventional wisdom today that says you should follow your heart. That you should do something you love, and as a result the money will just flow in automatically. If that were true, we would have a lot more wealthy artists and painters.
My belief is that you should do what makes you money, even if it’s not something you love. You can endure for a short period of time, and then take that money to do what you love. But that doesn’t mean you should stay in an environment that sucks your soul out of your body and leaves you zombified from work exhaustion.
The best way to do something you can love and make good money, is to acquire something I call a high income skill.
A high income skill fulfills these requirements:
- Generates at least $10,000 a month
- Paid based on the results you produce, not the time it takes to do the work
- The better you are at it, the more you earn
Now there are many high income skills out there that you can leverage. Skills such as copywriting, programming, public speaking and networking. But of all the high income skills out there, I believe high ticket closing is the best skill if you want freedom over your time, emotional well being and income.
If you suddenly lose your sense of purpose when you’re at work or in your business but suddenly feel invigorated once you stop, you may be suffering from work exhaustion.
You’ve gotten bored from doing what you always do, and no longer find any motivation or reason to continue doing what you’ve done. The environment you are in does not make you feel uplifted – it is slowly sucking out your soul.
If you’re suffering from work exhaustion, and are looking for a way out, it may be time to rethink your priorities. Instead of spending your time doing something you find no joy in, spend the most valuable asset you have chasing something that will make you feel fulfilled.
Now this is my opinion, but I believe the best solution for people who want to regain their sense of purpose, is to develop and learn a high income skill. Not only does it generate you additional income every month, it’s a way for exhausted business owners or full time employees to take back their time, freedom and peace of mind, without sacrificing their soul in the process.
High ticket closing is a skill that people can use in any industry, that challenges their creativity and resourcefulness to create their ideal lifestyle. The reason why some people have the life they want while looking as though they’ve never worked a day in their lives, is because they’ve mastered the ability to close deals with high figures in various circumstances.
Should You Learn High Ticket Closing?
I’ve had many people ask me this question, and the answer is it depends.
Here’s who high ticket closing is NOT for:
- People who aren’t willing to invest in themselves (Yet will happily blow money on a new car without hesitation)
- Those who expect success just because they “paid for it”
- People who don’t have a success driven mindset
And here’s who might be a good fit for high ticket closing:
- People who are willing to put in the work to achieve their ideal lifestyle
- Those who don’t give up easily
- People who are willing to do whatever it takes to succeed
Most people never achieve success because they give up when things get tough or when they don’t see results right away. They make excuses, and have the mentality that just because they put in the work, time and money, they should automatically succeed. The true nature of life is that only a small percentage of people succeed despite putting in the work. Without an unshakable, obsessive or even desperate drive to succeed, they will never be able to become successful and live a life everyone can only dream of.
That’s why in order to align with the philosophies that are responsible for success, our HTC program is also evolving. With a tightly knit community focused on creating leaders, high performers and people who are hungry for success – the focus is to cultivate the same type of people who often use their skills to close deals with enterprises and business agreements that set them up for life.
Inside our community you will get access to coaching that will help you take your business to the next level and skyrocket your results both in business and your life. If you’re ready to join a community of high performers who are hungry to achieve success, click here to apply now.
