You’ve probably heard it before – money attracts money. What you don’t hear as often is that it’s entirely possible to become a millionaire and it’s easier than you think. And yes, you can do it online, no matter what anyone says. I know for a fact that you can sell millions online if you leverage your presence and audience well. But how do you do that exactly?
Some of us think 1 million is a lot of money – some think it’s not. No matter what your opinion is, everyone agrees that the first million is the hardest to make. And yes, it involves money to make money. That’s a fact. You have to have the capital to start a business. And then, money attracts money.

Online traffic is huge. There are millions and millions of people on the internet. And just like on a busy street, people are circulating constantly. This is why, if you have an offer, you can make millions online. If you position yourself well, you will be in a spot where all that traffic brings people straight to your offer. But how do you actually get there?
How do you capture a part of that circulating traffic and capture and leverage an audience? Well, you need to scale your offer properly. And to do that, you need to know your audience well. How do you do it? Follow the traffic.
You have to understand online traffic to figure out where your audience is in it and why. Only then will you know what’s the right approach to take and make sure your offer reaches them and compels them to buy. This is how you generate a lead. It is also how you transform a follower into a loyal customer.
There’s a 3-step formula for scaling your online offer that I’m going to share with you in this article.
But before I share that with you, let’s look at the online landscape. Let’s see what’s the number of people online and where the offers can be scaled. Based on where these people are, you can determine what’s the best position for you to scale from. It really all depends on where they are in the general online traffic system, and then where they are in your traffic flow.
The thing is, by now, we all know that social media is where most people spend their time. That’s why more people try to tap into social media platforms and websites. Social media is great because it provides crucial data to marketers. It contributes the market data to the systems used to predict consumer preferences, behavior, and overall market trends.
Social media platforms and websites enable digital marketers to adjust campaigns and ads to get better conversions. They can track if the ad is doing well and keep adjusting until they get the desired result. They can scale.
But, without the right formula and not knowing how to sell millions online, you won’t be able to scale your offer in this digital world. The right formula is everything. Here’s the number of people online and where are – the key information to understand in order to scale your offer.
Ok, now you have the numbers. And then what?
First, you have to understand the 3 forms of traffic: Hot, Warm and Cold.
The first form of traffic is called “Hot Traffic.” These are the people who know you and who trust you and who maybe bought from you before. They are usually the people on your email list and they are your hot traffic – your best customers. You always want to sell to them first.
And then, you have what I call “Warm Traffic.” These are the people who ‘maybe’ know who you are. Perhaps they even bought from you, but it’s usually on the low ticket side. Or it could also be joint venture traffic or endorsement traffic – your partners are endorsing your product to their list so their hot traffic becomes your warm traffic. The bottom line is – they trust you.
And lastly, you have “Cold Traffic.” These are people who don’t know who you are. They don’t understand your brand either. These people probably found you on Google, Facebook, and other social media platforms. The point is – they don’t know you. This is when you’re scaling – you’re engaging with more people on a regular basis.
So, what now? You know the number of people online, you understand the three forms of traffic and then what? How can you use this knowledge to make money online?
You Can’t Scale To Millions Without Paying for It
Well, it’s true! You can’t scale without paying for it. It’s obvious, isn’t it? You need money to grow money. No doubt, the more traffic you generate, the more potential customers will be aware of your product or service and you’re more likely to scale your business. But if you don’t have a proven offer, all that money invested in traffic generation will not pay off – they might know about you, but they still won’t buy from you.
So, the first thing you don’t want to do is – go directly to pay and spend hundreds and thousands of dollars without a proven offer. If you do this, you are destined to lose money and leads. Only with a proven offer can you make things work.
This means that if you already have a business running, you have to use your online traffic understanding to scale. How do you do that? You first start with people who know you and who trust you. Offer to your best customers first.
If your best customers are not seeing your offer and you’re not scaling to your hot traffic, why would you want to go cold? You need to prove your offer. When you make sure that your offer is proven and your best customers are buying, then you can move on.
You see, scaling with your hot traffic has more potential in closing and scaling your business from the offer you already have. If your best customers don’t buy your product, what’s the point in going cold and spending all that money to reach the people who don’t even know you?
If you have a proven offer, you can make millions online. A proven offer is where you must start. If you’re creating a new offer, then you need to generate a proof. There’s no better way to do this than to run it through your hot traffic. Does it land well with your best customers? Are they buying? If they are, then you got the proof you need and you can move on.
Now, you might ask this question – “when can I scale my offer to generate leads?”
Like I said, scaling without proof is pointless. Once you have a proven offer, you can move to test your warm traffic. There are many ways you can do this. Scaling up to your warm traffic can be done through a joint venture or a strategic alliance. A joint venture allows you to introduce your offer to someone else’s audience. Since scaling is a matter of trust, working with someone else’s trusting audience will bring you more sales.
Another thing you can do to dive into your warm traffic is retargeting through Facebook ads you already have. You can retarget people who have seen you before and who know you. These people trust you to a certain extent, and they maybe bought low ticket offers from you before. As you can see from the infographic above, Facebook has about 1932 million potential reaches in advertising. This is a huge reach for ads.
So, as I said earlier, you don’t want to go cold and spend all that money before scaling in your hot and warm traffic. By diving deeper in it, you will make sure your offer is proven and also make money in the process. Only then you can move on to expand into cold traffic.
Once you have a proven offer you can dive deeper and reach your “Cold Traffic”
Now that you’ve successfully scaled from hot to warm traffic – you have proof of a scalable offer.
Then you can tap into cold traffic – a much wider and bigger audience.
The total digital population is about 7.7 billion of people around the world. This is how vast your potential audience is. With a proven, irresistible offer, you can tap into that vastness for new leads. If you have a good offer, you will easily turn your well-qualified buyers into loyal customers.
That’s why I said in the beginning, it’s entirely possible to become a millionaire and if you have a clear understanding of online traffic you will know how to sell to millions online. When you get the three forms of traffic, then you have a better understanding of the mindset of your three types of potential audiences.
But you might ask – Dan, what if I don’t have an offer? I just started a business, so how can I possibly sell millions online? Or maybe it’s your first offer. Then what do you do? You wouldn’t want to go to an affiliate partner without a proven offer in mind right?
What you want to do is…
Start testing your offers with cold traffic, in a small way.
This is when you will have to put a little money on the line. You have to develop demand and make your brand more recognizable. This is how your cold traffic becomes your warm traffic.
From there, your warm traffic will become hot. With hot traffic, you can test your second and third offer and reverse the cycle. That’s how you build your traffic flow. And good traffic flow is essential for successful scaling up.
It’s really that simple: 3 steps – Hot, Warm, and Cold.
And if you have a new business with a first offer – the cycle turns around – Cold, Warm and Hot. You first start from the cold traffic and convert those cold leads into warm traffic. When people learn about you and your brand, they start trusting you. When they trust you, they buy from you. That’s when warm traffic becomes hot – your best customers. This all might take some time, but if you do it right then it will work without a fail.

So, how elite and exclusive is the Hermès brand? Extremely! Even if you’re a millionaire, you can’t buy exactly what you want. They decide what you can buy and when. How can a strategy like that generate revenue?
Hermès has mastered the exclusivity of its products. The aura of its exclusivity remains “ultra-premium luxury” – not mass-market luxury or even premium luxury. And because of that, Hermès claims that each product is exclusively manufactured by hand – meaning by one craftsman.
Hermès has developed a secret language that creates the desire to buy. Its marketing strategy keeps high-end customers returning. Buying these exclusive products makes them feel special and gives them a sense of accomplishment. Imagine your customers being on a waiting list to buy your product and on top of that, they ‘must’ buy other things first before being able to get what they want.
This is brilliant.
These are the two steps of their sales process starting from when you walk into their luxury store:
- They first find out what you’re looking for.
- Then they find out what’s wrong with what you’ve got right now.
They create an emotional roller coaster for you. They find out what you want and then put an obstacle on your path to get it. And that’s the thing – people want something much more when they find out they can’t have it.

The old approaches always push you to try to be better than your competitor. This is not the way. What you must do to sell millions and create a good traffic cycle is to be different. If you try to compete, you will end up in the same categories as your competitors. But if you do it the Hermès way, you will see the real results. It’s really about being authentic, understanding your audience, and having clarity about your traffic flow.
You don’t have to change your product or service. What you need to do is change your approach and presentation. There’s no need to invent something new either – proven formulas for this already exist.
