When people talk about having a high-income career, most people don’t think about a career in sales. When you hear “high-income”, you probably think of doctors, lawyers, IT managers, and other similar professions. You’re not likely to think of someone making a six or seven figure career while closing sales deals on the phone from home. Yet, high-ticket closing is a new trend in sales that’s rapidly filling an urgent need in the job market.
For those wanting to change careers without having to go back to school for months or years, they can learn a new skill in a matter of weeks. They can also become their own boss without going through the usual hassles of starting a traditional brick and mortar or online business.
Typically, those who decide to become a High-ticket Closer ™ previously tried other options. Typically, they were lured by the promise of riches and easy money when they started a side business to supplement their income. They dabbled with MLM, ecommerce, or a start up…and failed.
Going back to school as a way to change careers was an option they absolutely wanted to avoid because they were already struggling with finances. They preferred to try something part time, and if the money was good, switch over to that new career full time.
A career in high-ticket sales was the answer they were looking for. It was a high-income skill that could be done part or full time, and the hours were flexible. Most importantly, they didn’t need any sales experience to do well at closing calls. Selling wasn’t as important as understanding the needs of the prospective customer. The set up for the closer is fairly straightforward.
A closer works with an influencer to close deals. An influencer is a business, coach, or celebrity that has services or products at a premium price. For example, a motivational speaker who charges $8000 for a coaching program. Consumers rarely make a high-ticket purchase online after watching a video or reading some website information. They need to speak to someone on the phone.
A High-Ticket Closer ™ has a critical role as a enrollment coach. They work from a home office, scheduling calls with potential customers who are interested in a product or service. They speak with the prospect at an appointed time and see if the product or service is the right fit for the prospect. If it is a fit, then their role is to close the deal and it’s a win-win for the influencer and the customer.
Why? Because the customer is getting a product or service that will help them to solve a problem they have, and the influencer is paid for the value they provide. That’s the important role of a High-Ticket Closer ™ : they close the deals that make the relationship between the influencer and customer possible. So how easy is it to become a High-Ticket Closer ™ , and how did people transition into that career?
It’s not easy to become a closer. I teach a seven week, intense program. Some students close deals before they graduate, some as soon as they graduate, and some take longer than that. It depends on how much time they spend practicing and mastering their skills. Transitioning into a new career also depends on long term goals.
For example, I have students who were full time employees that wanted leave their current situation and try a career in closing. I want to share some of their stories to show how they are transitioning into new careers.
High-Ticket Sales Versus Starting A Business
Michael dreamed of being self employed, owning his own business, and being his own boss. He had tried different MLM companies, owned rental companies, and did stock trading. All of the experiences were great and he learned a lot. But he also learned he didn’t want to keep doing any of them.
The problem with all the options he had tried was the initial investment. He needed to buy products to start an MLM business, capital and connections to start a real estate business, and risk his own money to do stock trading. All of these options involved some level of personal risk and investment.
In the end, nothing he tried got him any closer to his goal of becoming his own boss.
Next, he wanted to try an online business but he wasn’t sure where to start. When he found out about high-ticket closing, it was like finding a solution that he didn’t know existed. The live teaching and mentorship helped him learn a new skill that would get him closer to his income goals. He also appreciated the support and encouragement from the online community where he met people who were going through similar experiences.
Currently, he has a good job with an international company. In the future, he wants to supplement his income with high-ticket closing and one day, close full time.

A Flexible Career In Sales
Kathy wanted to earn some extra income online while her kids were sleeping and while her husband was away for work. Ideally, she wanted to work from home. Her situation is actually quite common.
Quite a few of my students are stay-at-home parents or single parents who want a flexible career that lets them spend the time they want with family.
It is very possible to make a good income while working part time as a high-ticket closer. Many successful closers have made good commissions by working only a few hours a day selling $3000 to $5000 programs.
Kathy became interested in this career because she wants to choose where she lives in the future. Right now, she lives close to where her husband works. High-ticket closing is a skill that would allow her to live anywhere she wants in the world.
It isn’t like the typical job where you want to cut down the commute by living close to where you work. As long as you have a phone and internet connection, you can work anywhere, even in a different country than the business or influencer you are working with. Being a closer will allow her to work from home and be with her family.

A Career Change Without Going Back To School
Ryan recently completed the High-Ticket Closer ™ Certificate Program to change his life.
Before that, he was a professional chef whose passion slowly waned over seven years. It just wasn’t giving him the lifestyle he wanted. He didn’t want to go back to school to learn a new career, so he looked into other options like online businesses, real estate, and sales.
