Suddenly, this employee has turned into an entrepreneur. Instead of working for someone else, he’s running his own business, doing data entry as a freelancer. He’s realized what opportunities are possible, and leveraged them to take control of his own life.

And that’s exactly what freelancers and entrepreneurs do. They offer a service to the marketplace in exchange for money. In this example, this employee would be offering his data entry skills to the marketplace instead of working at a job.
But the problem is that data entry is a saturated job. Most companies these days don’t even use employees to do data entry – there’s software and automation that handles it all automatically. If this employee were to try to become a data entry freelancer, he would not be able to find a lot of work.
This is the main reason why most employees who quit their job to become an entrepreneur do not succeed. They think that they can simply become an entrepreneur by starting a business and everything will be fine. But in reality, unless they’ve started a business before, they have no idea what to do. They don’t have a valuable skill or service to offer to the marketplace, and as a result, give up after just a few months.
